So grateful for this opportunity

Over five decades of life seem to have whizzed past, like pages flying off a calendar. Learning, loving, raising kids, and building a career—it’s been a whirlwind of responsibilities, joys, and challenges. Yet, through all of it, the words of spiritual wisdom that my mother and a few wise souls shared with me acted like a quiet anchor.

I never had the time—or perhaps I never made the time—to think more deeply about those words. But life has a way of presenting you with opportunities when you least expect them. For me, that opportunity came when I began learning from the Vedanta Academy teachers. They took the profound and deep concepts of our spiritual heritage and made them beautifully simple and accessible.

What’s more, the fellow learners in the class became fellow pilgrims. We laughed, questioned, and grew together, and the journey became unexpectedly joyous. It felt like I was reconnecting with something vital—something I had been missing in the frenzy of daily life.

After about a year of this learning, I feel truly blessed to have a Bhagavad Gita class starting just a stone’s throw from my home. It feels like another gentle nudge from the universe, guiding me further along this path.

This blog is my little notebook of reflections—written purely for my own understanding and growth. If you happen to stumble upon it, welcome to sharing my journey.
